University of Calgary s President Elizabeth Cannon did a great job in rallying behind Muslim students and reinforcing the ideal of University of Calgary as an inclusive and welcoming environment. The legislation- Bill 62, discriminates and banning minorities from receiving municipal services, such as public transit. This will lead to adverse effect in socio-economic, employment, education, physical and mental health of certain minorities.
