Short Bio: I am a family, immigration, wills, and employment lawyer working at a small firm in Downtown Calgary. I am involved extensively in equity and diversity initiatives including being the incoming chair for the Canadian Bar Association Alberta Equity and Diversity Committee, being a member of the Law Society of Alberta Equity and Diversity Advisory Committee, and being on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. I am a junior lawyer, who speaks Urdu and Hindi, is Muslim, Canadian-born but with parents from Pakistan and India. I am also a young mother with a 19 month old daughter.
