Interests: My interests include poetry, traditional singing (naats), seeing how we can develop healthcare that is more sensitive to religious/cultural practices, studying religions, escape rooms and fun adventures!
Short Bio: I'm a 1st year medical student at the University of Calgary and an avid volunteer! Before studying Medicine, I completed a BSc in Microbiology at UofC and was able to contribute to multiple publications in Bacterial and Viral Genomics. I am very passionate about immigrant and Muslim mental health as well as youth and community development. To that note, I currently volunteer with TFA as the Director of Events, and with Outrun the Stigma, as the Calgary Chapter's 2020 Co-Chair.
