About Me

Ziad is an active member of the community locally as well as globally. Ziad has been involved with several organizations such as United Way, Calgary Bridge Foundation, Alberta Health Services, Orphan Sponsorship Program, Muslim Students' Association, University of Calgary Research, Clinical Research in Calgary and surrounding area, and Habitat for Humanity. When he was 14 years of age he started his first registered business named Green Thumb Solutions and Maintenance (a landscaping and snow removal business). In 2014, he founded a non-profitable humanitarian organization, Ascovime Canada, where he has provided several medical inquiries to third world countries, mainly Africa. Ziad is also the current Vice President for Think for Actions, striving to build a collaborative, resilient, and engaging community by tackling marginalization, discrimination, and uplifting barriers of false perceptions. Ziad is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree from the Haskayne School of Business as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from the University of Calgary.
